For a Bolt on LT1 which stall?

With that being said, it will depend on your tire size and gearing.
**edit** To put it in perspective, I run a tenth or so quicker in my DD but needed ported heads and a custom cam to do it. Many people do not even get that quick with a H/C. With bolt-ons I was only able to squeeze a modest 12.8 on salad shooters w/DR's. Suspension is key to great ET's!
As for your converter, I remember a post where Shon Herron stated that he had planned to swap his T-56 for a TH350 and a 3500 Vig, but his motor expired before he got around to doing the swap.
I'm building mine into a light weight bolt on car and also plan to use a TH350, but I will probably go with an ATI converter. When it comes time to pick the converter I will use whatever they recomend for my set up.
BTW, I voted for the 3300, because of the 3.06 first gear ratio of the 4L60E that you are using. I believe that with too much stall you will blow right past the torque curve of the stock cam.

Going for the bolt-on LT1 record? I have no clue what would be the very best stall speed, but I agree with the guys who say it might not make for a good DD.
Just to confuse the issue further, Lane drove his as a DD.
If its a weekend/record car
I suggest going with a 3,600 or a lil more
LS1s as you can see also run high stalls
with that being said it is a summer DD on nice days... but i do want a converter that will maximize my performance.. and to the last poster i disagree. i know for a fact 1slowformula is running a 3500 vig and is running 12.0 in a bolt on LT1. you dont need a way high stall rating to do it

I voted for the 3600, simply just because that is what i have. Mines a Yank 3600
