Car weighs 3465 with no driver...add me 3795...yeh I already know I need to lose some weight.

At your weight all motor I would run 10.50's

Bracket race. Not for everyone, but it's still racing. There's going to be some really fast cars in the quicker bracket. That way you can find out how consistent the car and the driver really are. Plus it sounds like a really good time. I wish I could go, as I like the fact that there is going to be camping at the track.
My goal is to make it next time. This is one event I would give my left nut for, to do well in. Well almost, but you get my point.

Am I to guess that with the 4-link allowed, mini tubs go with it? I don't see any rules saying no carbs, are carbs allowed?

aftermarket EFI is allowed in outlaw, power adder, n/a and 6 speed with a 50 # weight penalty. your question wasn't clear??? i hope i answered it for you.

Mario,

you see now you can come and run(please the car not your mouth). I guess we didn't build the event around half a dozen cars. if you actually come be prepared to pop the hood. and make sure the heads are 23 degree.

have a nice day!

Throw a weight penalty on SB2.2, brodix 18/15/13/12, heads, but allow them in the power adder or N/A classes. Throw a weight penalty on an aftermarket EFI controller but allow in any class. That way a stock pcm AFR LT1 head car can go toe to toe with a SB2.2/Bigstuff3 car. Add 150lbs for a different degree head, and another 150lbs for aftermarket controller. I know it complicates things but it's good to get it out now (Dec) instead of later (March).
All Pro has a 23* head that will KILL a AFR227.

you are right that would be very hard for a car to weigh 3100 and still be a street car and meet all the safety requirements.

Everyone does this, The majority of car going are STREET cars.

Everyone KNOWS how hard it is to get weight out of these God forsaken cars....geez these aint Fox body Mustangs!

It is easier to put weight ON a race car than it is to take weight OFF a streetcar.

COme on guys Minimum weight should be 3300 ish. Even THEN with all safety stuff needed it would be HARD!

If we made the min weight 3400 lbs the Corvettes could not come race. We had to find a happy medium on that. My car weighs about 3450 with me in it. I don't think I can take any more weight off.

I was not complaining about the min weight, just curious to see if i was out of the loop on how to get a 3000 lb street car.

It normally takes doing weight reduction with a sawzall and a grinder
