I would kill for your 1/8 miles times/mph...My best is 7.14 @ 96 with 1.52 60'...1.41s are no joke especially for your mods, or lack of them...What size converter are you running? and if you have 4.10s now I'd look at a 28" tire...

I have 410`s and a 26 inch tire and I go through the traps under 7000 rpm@127

edit you will need a 28 inch tire when you spray as I will also

He said that he lost 2 tenths and some mph switching to 4.10s from 3.23s while keeping the 26" tire...I'd bet that the 28s may help bring it back...I'd have to see both before and after 4.10 gear install time slips to be sure...When I first installed 4.10s and left the 26s I was over powering the 26s, 28s made a world of difference...

You are comparing a big SR set up to a much smaller HR 306...apples to oranges, imho...Just offering a suggestion...

I bet the differance was the D/A and nothing todo with the gears.I just fail to see how you can lose et if you are not maxing rpm or if you are not spinning out of the hole

Yeah, I am overturning it through the traps which is why am am loseing a little MPH. I am fixing to put a set of 325-50-15 MT drag radials I think they will do the trick. The converter is a 2800-3200 B&M. It was temporary a couple of years ago so I could take the car to the track. But with 60's in the 1.40 range it became the stall for me . I guess I got lucky. So I guess the overall opinion is leave the cam the hell alone.

It seemed to me that the car was spinning. But all of the guys at the line with my car said it wasn't ,they could be wrong. The car only pulls to about 6000RPM w/ the 4.10's I have to turn it 6600 through the traps in the 1/8.

2nd gear or what

let me get this straight you are going through the traps in the 1/8th mile at like 97 mph you are hitting 6600 rpm in 3rd gear. That dont sound right to me.

I would first try to find/borrow a set of the M/T 275 60 R15s...They are also 28" tall, weigh less, fit with no mods, and should do the trick...I run those and have been very happy with them...Again, I wouldn't change too much...I can't believe how it hooks with that weenie converter...Bad ***...The times in my sig were with 4.10s and a Vig 3600...Have since had the converter restalled to 4000 to try to hit it harder, but I'm going to keep it N/A...no spray...

I have run the car about 11 passes w/ the 4.10's.Like I said the car fell off MPH and E.T. W/ the 4.10's. the MPH now is 94.7 w/ 1.58 60'. And a 7.21 w/the 4.10's.I have been told that as far as the 60' goes I could be spinning the rim inside of the slick.

If you dont have rim screws that could very well be the case

mark the rim and tire and compare after

My car has 4.11 with a 325/50, I am into 3rd just before the 1/8 mile running similar times. My car shifts at 6700. I finish the whole back 1/2 in 3rd gear.

Something is out of whack here.

I agree and you need to findout why you tranny isnt shifting into 3rd
maybe once you figure out your shifting issues a 513 gear will suit your 1/8 mile better

You auto guys suck with your 1.4-1.5 60's . I'd be happy to get a freaking 1.8

This is interesting, it is shifting into 3rd . Maybe the clutches are slipping on the big end.

What track are you running at? NAM is in Fayetteville but it's 1/4mile. Where's the 1/8 mile track near you?

Yes I run a 1/4 mile alot also. But the best times come from Piedmont Dragway and it is an 1/8 mile track. I have never seen a better hooking track.

A yeah, I was looking over my time slips and I only start running out of gear in the 1/4. About 118MPH I think if it could pull the whole way it would be much higher. Sorry about that should have caught it. Should clear things up abit. But the same issue just 1/4 and not 1/8 .
