so i was driving with my buddy and i take a turn onto the main road and i gun it so im at like 85% throttle and as i start accelerating i heard a loud slapping noise and the gas pedal immediately had no affect and the car started to kinda sputter like it wasnt getting any air even when i hit the gas. so i stop and pop my hood and there is like the smallest amount of smoke that was coming out from right around the throttle body. the car wont start now either, it cranks and everything but it just seems like its starved like the blades in the throttle body are shut. please if anyone has any idea id really appreciate it.

maybe the opti granaded did you take the elbow off and look to see if the blades are oping and shutting with the pedal

no the car is parked like a few blocks down from my house. im gunna get it towed to my mechanic tomorrow morning but i was just wondering what it could be.

Just a possibility and its cheap and cant hurt, change the fuel filter!

Explain the slapping noise?

Other then that sounds like it ran out of fuel.
