Default No Start, I really need help!

Guys,

I have a 93 firebird, that last night in the middle of my test drive, it just died. I have dash lights when i turn the key on. No Secerity light, but when you ry to engage the starter, nothing! if you jump the started solenoid, it cranks, but no start.

I have another steering colum, with a different ignition solenoid, key, etc. I swaped it in, and still the same thing.

I am really puzzled. do you have any ideas?

note the car ran fine before, but occassionally it would start, then shut off 2-3 seconds later

Starter Solenoid, Cap, Rotor, Spark Plugs, Fuel Injectors, ECU. Could be alot of things.

the car cranks if i hot wire the solenoid, but does not start. so not the solenoid.
The cap rotor etc, would not explain why the key turns on the ignition, but will not crank the engine.

??? it is a 93 car so is VATS even an option? it currently does not have a security light on.

Check out Shoebox's help site over at cz28. I have the same type of symptoms as you. I bought a new ignition switch, but have yet to install it.
