Default Need opinions on 383 build-up

I've been looking at a particular motor build-up and wanted to get your guys opinion on the pricing of the motor build, to see if it's reasonable.

Motor includes: 383 LT1
Block-Baked, Steel Shot, Magnafluxed, Square Decked with BHJ block tru, Bored, Honed with torque plates and jet cleaned. 4 Bolt Splayed Main CapsCrank-Eagle 4340 Forged Steel Internally BalancedRods-Eagle Forged 4340 H - Beam 5.7" Floating Pin Pistons-JE/SRP ForgedRings-Perfect Circle Plasma-MolyBearings-Clevite H - SeriesCore Plugs-Pioneer BrassMain Stud-ARP Main Stud KIt

MELLING M155HV OIL PUMP AND ARP OIL PUMP DRIVE included

I will be substituting the eagle caps for the PROGRAM splayed caps (all 5), upgrading to L19 rod bolts, block will be 1/2 filled. -31cc piston ( I want to get the compression somewhere around 8.7 to 9.1 The engine will come with a complete build sheet of all processes, balanced / blueprinted, MFG defect warranty on workmanship guaranteed to 1000 fwhp.

The motor with said components and machine work was quoted at $3600. It sounded pretty reasonable and the guy was familiar with the LS1 & LT1 community as well as AI & Lloyd Elliot.

Let me know what you guys think of the price and setup. Any recomendations on things you would change or suggest are appreciated.

Sounds like a good starting point. What turbo/blower are you going with?. Also what heads?

you would be getting that short block at right around COST considering all 5 billet caps and the machine work involed. The rotating assembly is mid priced but I still calculate that is a steal of a deal.

Well, this is good news. I felt like the price was reasonable, but it sounds like you guys think it's a good price. Any suggestions on other things I might do to the block or components ? I'm hoping this build will be able to take 15 to 18lbs of boost, the setup should be enough to handle the extra stress.

I just want to be clear on the splayed program caps (all 5). I'm providing the caps at my expense, the shortblock will really cost in the neighborhood of $4100 when you consider about $500 for the program splayed caps. It still sounds like everyone think this is a good deal. The block is included for the price.
