Question Traction control problem on a 93?

i know i dont have traction control... I dont think it was even available in 93. Heres my problem though, when i start my car (usually when its cold) I let it warm up for a minute then i put it into drive. As soon as the car starts to move without even touching the gas the Low Traction light pops on for like a second or two and at the same time the car hesitates to go. then if i touch the gas it goes off and its fine. even if i dont touch the gas it will go off and be fine after that second but it just goes away faster if i tap the throttle. It has done this for a while now and thought maybe its a sensor??? Anybody know what could cause this?

What do you mean it hesitates to go? Do the RPM's drop?

its really hard to describe but u know when u put a car in drive it starts to move when u take your foot off the brake, well it starts to move and then the light pops on and it does this hesitation. it only happens for a second. Its only when its a cold start or sits for a little while. RPMs dont drop and if they do its very very slightly.

Try cleaning the ground by the driver side headlight.

I have, what I assume is, the same problem. Mine I don't think flashes the Low Trac light though, it just seems to let loose the brake for a second, kinda like if I tapped on the gas while my foot was still on the brake. But my front ABS don't work, and my ABS light is always on. For me, it usually does it right before the ABS light comes on.

there is nothing wrong with it they all do it both of mine did it. its kinda like when you start your car up and all the gauge lights come on it just waits till you start moving to come on for a sec.

Well that's a bit of a relief. I just figured it was due to the ABS system being inop.

ABS issue, thats what the Low Trac light is. It comes on if your going at any decent speed and mash on the brakes
