Default Looking for pics of Pacesetter LT ORY with Cats install

I remember seeing a post on here awhile back with some good pics of the Pacesetter LT ORY install with cats but I can't find it now - anyone have the link or pics?

I am installing the Y pipe today and I need to cut/weld 2 magnaflow high flow cats into the y pipe - looking for pics to get some ideas on placement, especially on the drivers side of the y pipe (passenger is easy - am going to put it in the same place as the original).

I just ended up cutting and welding them into the best places I can find - overall pretty happy with the fit and clearance

I am not sure if you know this or not, but with long tubes, no matter how many cats you install, it wont be emission legal. Will you pass? Probably unless you get someone thats extremely **** about their inspections.

Just figured I would let you know now.

Are those the 59959 cats? Did you notice any loss in performance or change in sound? And how much did they help with the smell?

mmmmmm---well that sucks...did not know that - so i assume that it will fail the visual inspection but pass the sniff test?? I will just have to shop around and find an inspector that is not too hung up on the visual inspection.

yes, those are the 59959's. I can't tell about the change in sound or power because I am doing a complete change over along with a new 383. I never had a problem with a smell previously and hope i do not now.......I will say that the pacesetter LTs along with this Y pipe and cats are noticeably louder than my old edelbrock shorty's with a single high flow cat ( i think it was a dynomax) -- but that really doesn't tell you much.....sorry.

ive got the pictures you need. my y-pipe USED to have cats. just look where my straight pipes are welded for the placement. they tucked up great, no clearance issues at all. the only bad thing about my setup is the angle it comes together at.

Its kind of likely someone will see them and just pass it. But, a knowledgeable and strict inspector will see that they are not in their factory location and will fail it because of that. It sucks but its the law.

I wouldn't worry about it. As long as it passes whatever kind of emissions test (if any) your county requires, you should have no trouble passing. My friend and I both have catted long tubes here in Houston and have had no trouble passing even with the stupid emissions dyno we have to do yearly.
