Wow that sucks. I have these mounts also that I was going to be using with the stock power steering rack. I had eye balled everything, and I thouht it would fit. But by the looks of your picture there isnt anyway. He is usually in the Drag Racing forum. You might want to try and post this there.

do your tires EVER leave the race track? If so... get poly mounts and be happy.

Otherwise you need to try a LS1 steering rack (moves the base outward), or go to an aftermarket rack (like a flaming river), or maybe relocate the stock rack and install bump-steer corrections.... all in order of difficulty of course.

And that makes no sence, because these are only designed for the stock k member. The additional pad that is welded on the drivers side mount will only work if your using the stock k member. I have a PA k-member that I had to modify to even get these solid mounts to mount up.

But anyways I went out and bolted everything together and took some pics. I was able to get everything to bolt up an the shaft did not hit. I also turned the wheel lock to lock and nothing hit. Sorry about the big pics.

Here is a front view

view from the top

Picture of a modified PA k-member so that I could use all the bolts designed into the motor mount.

ok, so anyone know what's going on with the first pic? Can you take a front shot and a shot further back?

Is it bolted to the right spot? (ya never know...)

It's clear the problem mount isn't oriented the same and foggedz's mounts.

Yeah, after taking a closer look at your pic, it does appear your gusset is different than mine. Where did you order the mounts from. When I ordered mine from Thunder racing they said I could send them back if they didnt work.

It seem to me that the jig used to make these mounts must only have the mounting points for the motor, and the K-member built in. The gusset is probably added afterwards, and done a little different on each set.

As far as the comment about solid mounts being a bad idea for a street car. I have had some form of solid mounts on my car for 2 years, and pefer them over any other type of mount.

I prefer a solid over a poly anyday. Some ppl tolerate more then others if you prefer polys you use them, he wants to use solids, so lets stick to the fitment issues instead.

If it makes you feel any better I just installed the Madman "MADMAN LOWER REAR SHOCK MOUNT KIT", and the hardward that was included was not the correct size. The bolts that were sent about an 1/8 to small in diameter, and the shock would have bin able to bounce all over the place. I had to go out and buy new hardware and drill out the holes in the new Madman mount.
