Default lt1 DART heads

Hi i wanted to know if these would bolt on a stock bottom end and not kill the compression like the afrs and trickflows? Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them yet? Thanks

also wondering about the dart heads too, in the latest chevy rumble they had a pic of the lt1-lt4 pro 1 heads and they had guide plates on them, I was wondering if those are correct guideplates for our cars or if they were just sbc ones.

A SBC and LT1 are going to use the same guide plates. Side from the cooling a LT1 head is just a plain 23* SBC head.

The valve spacing on the GM LT1 heads is slightly different than gen 1 smallblock heads, BUT aftermarket LT1 heads are all just converted gen 1 heads, but converted I means usually they retool at the factory to make an LT1 head using existing ports and chamber, I do not mean converted after the fact.

From memory I think the Darts as with most of the aftermarket LT1 heads have a big 62-4cc chamber, again this goes back to the fact they are basically a gen 1 head tweaked to work with the LT1 intake pattern and reverse flow cooling.

One guy who occassionally posts here has run them and I believe they ran what mildly worked GM aluminums ran.

IMO do not bother with them, but what do I know?

so its bascally a gen1 head but has reverse cooling and lt1 bolt pattern...I thought for a second there that someone made a better bolt-on guideplate other than the GM's or iskys.

Read the last sentence of the second paragraph.

Guess I was wrong on the chamber.

I know that the AFR's and the Darts can be ordered with different chamber sizes.
