Default True Duals universal x-pipe question

So, I was looking around at some true duals setups for LT1's and I think I may go that route after I get some Pacesetter LT's. My question is, does anyone think that I'd be able to use this x-pipe? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku. All the x-pipes I've seen people use have the pipes after the crossover really close together. I was wondering if there would be anything in the way of this one. I just planned on getting that and then some bullet mufflers to put on the ends to quiet it down a little. I just thought this x-pipe was pretty cool because it had built-in cutouts.

it's a lil too wide to be used underneath the body of our cars

i'm running true duals on my pacesetters with spiral flow mufflers. i ended up using an H pipe setup on mine.

also, two cutouts would be just about pointless if you're going to only have bullet mufflers at the end of them and turned down at the axle. i think you're asking for more problems than you'd get out of it if you went with that pipe setup from summit

Yeah, I figured it was a little wide probably. Is this the one that most people are using? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Ok, what about this one? http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...59968_-1_11525. It doesn't appear to be as wide as the first one, and I could always have the pipes after the X custom fabbed so they don't stick out quite as far. Then, I could just stick a couple of Flowmaster 10 series mufflers, or something not quite as loud, on the ends with turndowns. Then, when I want to be obnoxiously loud, just open up the two cutouts. These cutouts look to be placed a little better than on the first setup I found anyways.

you can use a regular summit universal x pipe kit. quite a few people have used these. they will never fit as well as a custom dual setup though

Yeah, I'm either going to go with a Summit or JEGS universal x-pipe kit. They both seem to have some very good prices. If I got the JEGS kit without the cutouts, it'll only be $85.

Yeah, I really want to try the JEGS kit out with the cutouts right after the headers. It'll be a while before I do that though. I need to find a new job first so I can afford to get some longtubes and the x-pipe kit. It'll probably be mid-late summer before I get around to getting everything I'll need. I'll be sure to post up pics and the progress in either this section or the exhaust section once I do start on it.

Okay, I was worried about getting the exhaust up in and running it right under the driveshaft. But, I stumbled across this last night on Streetfire. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2...b3002b31da.htm. This guy has full 3" True duals. It's not really tucked up under at all and he even runs the tailpipes out under the axle. It doesn't look really like he'd have too much trouble with ground clearance either. I think that's what I'm going to try and do with the JEGS kit.
