I love the Blue and Purple ones in luckyou03's post.
I had my intake, waterpump and accessory bracket done in red (to match the car).
It looks good with everying else polished, but I'm kinda regretting not having it
powdercoated or done in a different color.

Man that is one clean and awsome looking E-bay "Racing 96 SS" I like those colors together. I agree the intake and engine bay color varys according to the color of the car, and LT-4 red should only be on LT-4's.

Default Fins on LT1/LT4 intakes

My car is bright red so I painted mine red using ceramic paint for brake calipers. Matches the car and looks great. I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking I've got a LT4, the average guy doesn't even know its a LT1 much less knows of the LT4.

I didn't sand my intake fins off. I waited until it was dry to the touch then used M.E.K. on a clean rag to wipe the fins free of paint and expose the polished surfaces. I used a brass wire brush in a drill before painting to freshen it up. In fact I cleaned up just about my entire intake with that drill brush. Before painting I wiped it down with M.E.K. to remove any and all grease or oils. Sprayed the ceramic paint in two lights coats letting each dry in between followed by a heavier final coat.
