Default Header bolt sizes

Anybody know what size header bolts we use on our cars? I want to get some bolts with an allen head so I can tighten them down better and get rid of my leak caused by my loose bolts.

.75 will work - I used them for years NA. When I switched to my turbo setup I had several pull the threads out from the weight, heat, flexing, etc.

I would recommend going 1" because the hole is deep enough for them - More threads will hold better and be more likely to not strip.

Personally, I would not use 3/4" bolts. I would get 1" bolts. If you're looking for locking bolts, I think there are better alternatives than Stage 8. Percy's is now making what used to be Breslin Split Locks.

The bolts are good, but I have never been able to use the locking clips. Every set of headers I tried they wouldn't fit. The split lock ones do well if you want to spend the coin for them.

I just ordered some plain ARP 1" bolts to put back in my setup.
