Relocate or Lightweight??? On the quest for more weight reduction up front. I have the heavy *** Optima red top and my question is: should I relocate to the rear? or get the Oddesy lightweight battery?

I like the idea of weight savings versus adding seven or eight pounds of wire to do the relocation. If you're having problems hooking, the relocation might help, but I would rather fix the suspension and save some weight.

Thanks everyone. I'm probably going to look into the lightweight battery ie. Braille, Oddessey etc.....only 11to 15 lbs. The car is not a daily driver anymore anyway.
Def do the light weight up front. You could put it in the back, but you may have problems with starting the car. Plus you would have to had so much heavy battery cable it wouldnt be worth it.
I have been running the Oddesy up front for 2 years, and never had any problems.

But putting the battery rear of the axle will help a ton. So you gain a bit of weight doing it oh well. I would rather have the car launch good and run faster total time then launch poor and have a worse et.
If this does not help then why do most of the big time racers do it?
