I hope you took to heart that if your uncle is only building the motor with different heads, cam, and intake, that it won't handle over 150 shot of NOS for long. H/C/I doesn't change the rotating assembly, and as Pork said, you can make that much power w/o changing them.
I think El is a more informed That_guy I'm quite cure El knows the diff between spark plugs and injectors
Maybe you should save up for the up-and-coming Pontiac Ute (See: Holden Ute).

alrighty... just curious what the heck these mono's are for? Crazy TT LTs? I told my uncle 450 is the least I will walk away with and build it to handle a 300 shot. I figured that way if I got 500/525 and put a 200 shot on it I would be ahead of the game.
That paired with the built tranny - 40L6E or w.e and a 3200 stall... plus I have a G-body so we did a 8.5" transplant from a grand national with 3.73's.

So some cars such as the LS1s have a single 75mm blade opening! ON the LT1s, the have two seperate ports both at 48mm! (equal to 96mm) so a 52 is as big as i would go on a HIC car with stock bottom end! Hope this helps you understand! If not look up pics on google of them!
a dual 48mm throttle body is not equivalent to a single 96mm throttle body!!
your not taking into account cross-sectional area
ok lets convert things to inches to make it easier
96mm = about 3.78 inches radius = 1.89"
48mm = about 1.89 inches radius = .945"
lets compute cross-sectional area:
1.89 X 1.89 X 3.14 = 11.21 inches^2 = area of 96mm TB
.945 X .945 X 3.14 X 2 = 5.61 inches^2 = total area of dual 48mm TB
A dual 48mm TB would flow Half of what a single 96mm TB would
95camZ---> not trying to pick on you its just that this seems to be a common mis-conception

^^^^^ So would that make the Mono-blade a 116mm throttle body since its one opening and not dual like the the others? or is proably more like a 100mm since its an oval and not round. I know its capable of flowing 1300cfm from what they say. That the largest TB they make for the lt1.

Its no big deal, I didnt mean to get into detail on how it flows and i know its not the same thing or they wouldnt have two different setups and when typing that didnt even think of the way you broke it down (thanks for clarifying it)! I just worded it wrong trying to get him to understand the difference between a TB having two blades compared to one!

Thanks - this did help.
I guess its not on HCI - thats what my friend kept calling it so I assumed he was correct. My uncle said everything component of the motor is brand new... only thing they kept was the LT1 block. I couldn't make it to the shop, but I should be over there Friday. I'll snap some pictures and post em up.
