So I finally got the chance the other day I pulled up behind his car at a stop sign and revved, he looked back and hit it, so what did I do, haha I caught him and passed him, hahahaha

yeah its always a great feeling to bring a mustang owner back to reality..... 4.6< LT1 I just love how most people under estimate the LT1 so much, and usually have no idea what they are talking about.

The 98 Cobras were overrated from the factory. My near stock Z beat a 98 Cobra pretty badly.

i guy with a 2000+ gt that i raced thought my car had an ls1. and that it was newer and manual trans. i said "no my poor old lt1 still beat up on u huh?" we both laughed he swore that i had put a ls1 in it(had to pop hood, he worked at napa) we always get under rated b/c ls1's were touched by god.

That's awesome. I used to own a 1995 GT. And needless to say it was soooo slow. My bolt-on LT1 Camaro ran 2 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile than my Mustang. Nice kill story though.

You should tear a 98 cobra up. I have never raced one but I have raced the 305 hp Mach 1's. They loose to my automatic POS everytime.

And I haven't even installed my nitrous yet.

I also had a 1995 GT before this car. It was horribly slow. It was a little more comfortable to drive sometimes but sucks everywhere else. And it got worse gas mileage too. Not sure why but it did.

yea stangs and ford in general blow my nutz... i met some kid last night talking about how is lincoln town car is gonna run at least 11's with a stang motor in it supercharged... i was like yea dude cool (thinking in my head ur so ****** dumb) i hope i see him at the track and race him for $$ cuz he def would he thinks his car is the fastest thing in the world

i love my new trans am. but i pulled and beat on plenty of lt1's with my full boltons, gears drag radials 04 gt without the nitrous. i beat plenty of ls1's without and with my nitrous. they arent bad cars. i know because you own a chevy/pontiac you hate on ford, same with people that own fords. but they both are respectable, both have they downfals/advantages.

I used to bash on Fords when I drove a 1995 Mustang GT. Owning it made me realize how slow and ghey the car was. Mustang guys would get upset when I talked crap until I told them I drove one. They kinda had the "oh he knows" look on their faces after that.

a 95 gt is nothing like the 99-04 gts, 05+ gts. its comparing a pushrod motor to a newer 4.6. i admit the 97-98 gt's are slow because they dont have the pi heads or cams that ford put in, in the newe models. but you cant make a judgment from just driving one old mustang. i know for a fact a bolt on 99-04 with gears, it will be a good race for a bolt on lt1. so what is the argument here?

I think a lot of these Mustang owners see the spec of their motors but fail to realize that just motor power and not to the wheels. I had a cpl talking **** too and owned every ****** one of them homo's.

Might be a dumb question, but does anyone know what the actual HP Rating on the LT1 motor was. I'd always been told it was pretty under rated @ 275.
