Well roadtrip that was way more than I needed, but I guess I didn't clarify. You have an absolutely badass setup, congrats on the shootout. I meant the heads and intake setup, is the intake an off the shelf item minus the carbon fiber inlay? Or is it modified with the front cut off and welded in? It just looks too clean to be welded up. The only reason that I ask is I have a plan for a turbo setup with a single plane conversion and yours is one of the best looking setups that I have seen.
Again thanks alot for all of your specs I appreciate it

Thats absolutely insane man, kinda made me wonder haha I guess I'll have to be in touch with Bret in the future. Thanks for the reply and what times are you hoping for the car?

No problem glad to help
I am hoping to run what Taner's car runs ( 10.5 at 130mph), granted he has a 399 vs my 383 but i have 100lbs on him.
Time will only tell ,but its something to work for.
As far as dyno, no i have not. I just got my 35 spline gun drilled and star flanged axle's, 35 spline steel spool and aluminum center section in today. I trashed the 31 splines and trutrac at the race. I need to buy the new aluma star rear wheels and tires and get a tune. A/F at the race was 11.5... I went 126mph at 99mph in the 8th, two runs prior i went 102mph in the 8th but missed 4th. A faced plated gear set is on order from Six Speeds Inc. to fix that problem. T-56's dont like to shift past 7K very fast, lol.. Plus dropping the weight of the pro star's and 37lb DR's to full drag's and aluma star's thats 36lb's of rotating weight. As the car sits it has 129mph in it, without changing the tune.
Only time will tell, till then throw more money at it.

Thats badass roadtrip, I saw your post where you annilated your rear end parts. But I guess thats how it goes right?? I'm glad that you are happy with the heads, it seems like everytone is talking them down since there are only a handful of people using them right now, but you have the best set right now IMHO. I was thinking of ordering the bare castings and using all of the parts from my LE3s and having the darts ported, but that will have to be down the road a bit. If you don't mind me asking what did the heads run you without the intake? I mean buying the heads, having bret port and assemble with his parts, then shipped to you? I thought I saw him mention ~$3k on a different forum, but wasn't sure what it was for
Thanks again man, I really appreciate the help and information
1badzee if its possible could you get a before and after dyno pull? That would be kickass and hopefully put an end to everyone saying that they are no better than the stockers. I know the guy here that does dynos charges $105 for 3 or 5 pulls. Mabye you could work something out with the shop and do 2 shock pulls and 2 or 3 Pro 1 pulls to get your tuning right.
Good luck with the purchase

Hey no problem. I already dyno'd at 337whp and i believe around 352wtq(cant remember for sure, ill have to pull up the dyno sheet) with bolt ons and hotcam (stock heads and everything).. so I'll let you guys know what she puts down with the "as-cast" DARTs. I'm not expecting a big difference but anything helps (= plus i am planning on going turbo in a year or so, so this investment will help out in the longrun

Thanks again Roadtrip and $3K really isn't that bad if you think about all the work that went into those parts. If my LE3s ended up dying I'll be sure to let bret know that I was convinced by your setup. I'm hoping my heads are still good, but these would be a nice upgrade

Nice man, I didn't know that you had it dynoed already. How soon are you planning on having the heads installed? I'll find out this weekend if I toasted my LE3s and if I did I'll be giving bret a call to see what we can work out.
