Im gonna buy some headers for my 94 formula. Tryin to get a couple opinions. Im thinkin of the Edelbrock TES headers and y pipe. They say they are shorty style, but are more like mid length size. Are these a good pick for mid length headers? What are some other good headers for that price? If anyone has any suggestions for headers it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

The Edelbrock TES was one of the first headers made for the LT1's. In fact, these were my first headers back in 1995. I installed them along w/the Borla adj.exhaust system, an awesome combo back then, and it's still a good exhaust for bolt on daily driving. Good luck.

-Mac mids have been proven to only be a 5 horsepower loss on the dyno compared to longtubes which is negotiable since dynos can vary by that much
-I can change my sparkplugs in 15 minutes...all from the top
-Ground clearance is the best
-Come coated and look good
-Mids WILL pass any emissions since they don't relocate the cat
(97badass thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated!)

i have ceramic coated pacesetter longtubes and as far as power, they are fantastic. i am less then happy however with the coating. i forked over the extra 100$+ for the coating and in less then a year and less then 2000 miles the coating is chipping off and rust is forming around the flange.
if you are on a budget then pacestters will certainly work but next time around im saving for some s.s kooks. ( im on a tight budget too) and i honestly do think its worth saving for the stainless headers.

If you're planning to keep the car, get stainless. If you can't afford them, save up until you can.

Ive got the Edelbrock TES's on my 95 Z and theyre great... (thanks to all who where talking **** about the shortys and mids. lol) The power dif between manifolds and the TESs was amaizing. Theyre a lil pricey... but Edelbrock makes quality ****... I like them. But thats just my opinion. They bolt up easy and dont leak. Period.
