Default Thinking about buying a nitrous kit...

Let me start by saying that I am not new to nitrous, I have installed and used kits before, all have been nozzle setups though. But now with the available plate systems I dont know which to go with. My car is a 94 Z28 with a 383, M6, 4.10's, etc.....I see a divide down the middle on which type of system everyone is using. Some seem to prefer a nozzle/nozzles, some prefer a plate. Of course the plate systems cost considerably more, but are they worth it? The plan is for a 150 shot. What do you guys recommend? The kit Im interested in for either setup is Brand X from Nitrous Outlet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Plan on ordering this next week.

Nitrous Outlet plate kit here. Don't forget to get all the goodies that go along with a safe reliable kit. It adds $ but is the only way to play this game.

Plate system it might be then. I was planning on having to spend close to 1K for the system with all the extras if going plate, or about 600 for a single nozzle.

I have almost 1000$ in my HSW nozzle kit. But I have everything for it. No half-assing a nitrous install for me.

The only extras I need are a purge, switch panel, and gauge. A remote opener is just a luxury, and a bottle heater really isnt needed(Texas heat).

I like the plate setups for looks but cant justify spending the extra dough on them but Im kinda on a budget. I priced a HSW single nozzle kit with all the essentials and Im looking at $1200 including a Mallory ignition box and $1500 with a plate conversion. Im sure th plate optimizes a tad better but performance wise I would imagine there is hardly a difference.

Im using a Dynotune nozzle kit with 125 wet rwhp shot. I like the set up I have but if I was going much bigger I would use a dual nozzle set up.

There is no way you can maintain proper pressure even if it is hot outside without a heater...especially if you are out on a cooler night how do you get proper bottle pressure ?

get one and have a system that works and the car will be far more consistent

Yeah I know, the front looks like crap, but it will get fixed in time. I put the new wheels on this afternoon and installed my new shifter to replace that worn out POS B&M that was in it.

Im debating on just getting a cowl hood and new bumper or updating the whole front end. It doesnt bother me too much though, so I have plenty of time to decide what to do.

Putting the nitrous kit on the back burner right now, about to move and need the money for that. But come summer it will be time for a bigger cam, better heads, better intake, and of course a little go juice!!!
