Loudmouth catback?
Loudmouth catback? I just picked up a loudmouth catback, and with the factory manifolds and cat it sounds pretty bad ***. Does anybody know what lt's and ory, or hi flow cats would sound good with it. Sound clips would also be helpful.
When I first got my car is had a loudmouth with stock Y and manifolds without a cat. It was very very loud. Sounded horrible.

I guess I have a really old style Loudmouth on my car (it's a standard style muffler), not the bullet style I keep seeing, and I love it. Mines all stock too except that. HAD a high-flow cat (among other things), but the previous-previous owner didn't pass Illinois emissions, and had a stock one put back in (among with the stock chip and tstat and probably more, was only a hypercrap chip though).
At anyrate, I'd like to get some midlength headers, or shorties even. I heart long tubes really make them loud heh True to their name! Since I'm not huge on performance that's why I'm going mid or shorties.
Like AR15 said, the cat really helps with the sound. If I ever removed mine, I'd put a bullet muffler or resonator in it's place to keep that dampening effect in there.

If you have a regualy crossflow muffler then you have the SLP Dual Dual which IMO sounds alot better than the Loudmouth. I had the Loudmouth on my car and it sounded like crap!
