2.73s to 3.42
When I did my 2.73->3.42 gear swap last year I wanted the shifts to occur at the same engine rpms as with the old gears. The shift tables are specified in terms of vehicle speed, and since engine rpms will be higher for a given vehicle speed with the higher ratio gears, the tables needed to be updated. If there is something wrong with my logic I'm all ears.
This issue usually shows up if someone calibrates their speedo (like with a hypertech of something) but doesn't do any additional tuning to change the shift tables. Then the speedo will be correct but the shift points will still be off so you will notice it shifting differently.
