just as an FYI, the SRP deal tony was talking about is because of the high silicon content in the pistons..... they're better for oil control and heat cycles but not the best for ***** out passes on alot of spray....

SRP is JE's economy line of pistons.... Full out JE or Ross or other companies will generally run you 1000-1200 a set..... depending on options....

I was told as well that roughly a 150-200 shot is on borrowed time detonation or not....

Nice setup u have there, engine bay looks good! I'm running the srp's as well, i wanna hit it with 200 but nervous about the longevity of the slugs. I'm gonna try to get my 9 on a 150 shot

Damn this thread has me half worried now, I was gonna hit eagles with a progressed 200 shot. Does a issue come up more with the higher compression?? I'm sitting at 11:1 supposedly..... People killing pistons, is that in all out high compression deals? There is one aspect of ls1tech that will drive you nuts, there are some people running 150 shots on stock hi-mileage shortblocks, then the next day there are people killing forged pistons.
