Sounds like you may have injectors bleeding down and filling the cylinders with fuel. Basically flooding it.

could be injectors... I've never seen that happen, but definetely dont rule it out just yet. Let me ask you another question. When I doesnt start, is it wet outside? Or high Humidity?
The car I just bought, they guy had to replace the opti because of no-start when wet...

i talked to a vette mechanic and he told me that I should turn the key but not crank it and on the fuel rail push the valve in then have someone try to start it then push the valve again he said if I dont have a spray then the fuel pump is going bad.
I will try today and see also I read in another post that if I unplugg the battery all time like I have been doing that the computer has to learn to run again wtf
anybody heard of this before

If you suspect the fuel pump, put a pressure gauge on the FPR. what you explained seems to be 50 times more complicated than a pressure gauge atached to the schrader (sp?) valve.

When the battery is dosconnected the computer has to relearn the idle. In my case, for the first few mins of reconnectimg the battery, my idle climbs as high as 1500rpms.

I currently am experiencing the slow/no start issue as well. I have a '95 formula and have not started to chase the culprit. Don't have the time or energy tackle this job again, repriming the fuel pump or tapping on the gas seems to get it going in the morning for me.

I used to have a 3.8 camaro before this formula, that had the same problem. It was the fuel pump in that instance. I have put a gauge on my formula and it iis holding proper pressure. The car has had a fulll tune-up including an opti replacement.
