I pick up the car on Wensday (4-9) from the paint shop. Then I need to make a pinion angle adjustment (finding 2 people who agree on the procedure for that's impossible!). Then to the track for TnT. Knock on wood!!!

We aren't going to make it.

Went to the track Sunday to do nitrous tuning and it did not go as well as we hoped. Spent all day and never got past half track. I have to take the system off, flow it and recalculate jetting plus get back to the track then get the clutch tuned to the hit. We just plain ran out of time. Damn northeastern weather.

On a good note on one pass coming out with only 20% and ramping to 100% after 2 seconds and lifting at 5 seconds it coasted through the 1/8th at 6.12 with a 1.50 60' blowing the tires off.

It's going to wicked bad and definately in the 8's, time was just not our friend.

Good luck to all who goes and everyone be safe.

I'll be there, with my car..... But I won't be running in any of the classes because my car is not NHRA legal for the times that it runs.

Does anyone know if there will be an oppurtunity for some us of to run a few time only passes? If so, I'd be game

I didn't have the time or the money to get it up to snuff in time this year, so hopefully there is an LTXshootout next year

You should bring it anyways and run. My car won't be 100% legal by the book but I'm gonna run it anyways. There's a test-n-tune on Friday night that a lot of us will be attending also.

We are going to need max participation and support to ensure a repeat. You guys who are close to finishing/on the fence, please get your cars together and sign up. If the first shootout is so-so, there may not be a second.

Come on out and run 'em.

I'm bringin it no matter what

I wasn't planning on showing up until saturday morning, but if there's gonna be a test-n-tune on friday night, I may just have take friday off work and head that way

What time is the test-n-tune scheduled to start?

I really want to see a repeat next year, so I'll try, but with so little time left I'm afraid I'm still gonna come up short on being NHRA legal by the 19th

Because of my 10 bolt, I leave pretty soft. So my 60' times are usally in the high 1.70s to low 1.80s. With those short times, the car ran high 11s @ 117-119 in the heat last season.

Over the winter, the car has picked up a little more power, so if the weather is cool enough I'd expect 11.70-80s @ 119+....

I'll be in the same boat and like Todd said, we need as many folks at the event as we can get. Come on out!

I think the test-n-tune is from like 6-10.

Looks like all you need is a helmet to run. You should come out and run the bracket 12.5/faster or even the lt1 NA heads up class. You may have a better shot than you think since allot of the faster guys are having trouble.

Well a helmet is certainly no problem, but I thought that I needed a 6-point roll bar, a harness, and a driveshaft loop too once I broke into the 11s?

NHRA now requires a 5 pt bar at 11.5. Technically you have to be "stock" but I've never seen a track enforce that. My wifes car runs at a NHRA sanctioned track all the time and they never say a word. May want to throw a DS loop on there just in case but I bet you can run so just so up.

Default I just dynoed.... good news and bad i think

Well I just got the car out on the dyno..... Good news is it put down 529 RWHP corrected and 505RWTQ..... Naturally aspirated... All the runs went great except for the last one where I think we might have seriously hurt the tranny...... I need to take it around on the street (which is tough with how loud it is) and get it shifting. It feels like it completely skips second gear. When I shift it to 2nd it stays in first..... I only feel the shift from second to third and see RPM dropoff.... Nothing when i go from 1st to 2nd.... It wasn't doing that the first four runs......

I plan on having my guy look at it but I can't guarantee what I'll need to do if the tranny has to come out...... I'm praying it doesn't......

The 6-point roll-bar and 5-point harness requirement is 11.49 and below. With factory fire-wall and floor-pan, you're good down to 10.00.

Here is the NHRA ET quick-reference page link.
