Default Injector Question

Hey guys Im currently in the middle of a cam install and I was curios as to wether I need new injectors or not. It will be a 503 with LTs,1.6rrs and almost every other bolt on. Also I installed a TRE 255 fuel pump, does that change fuel pressure at all? Will it help me run the 24#s longer.
If not does anyone know the correct part number for the ford 30# red tops?

A higher volume fuel pump can push fuel pressure up a tad and you should get by on stock injectors long as they are in good shape.

Okay good to know. I can get the svos at cost so Im going to get them. Anyone know the part number so I can call the ford house.

I was just asking cause I want to throw it all back together and go straight to the dyno and getit tuned so I can start driving it.
I dont want to put it together then hook up the scan tool and check duty cycle then find out its too high and then have to have her down for another week waiting on parts.

Is a retune required for the SVo 30lbs?

go with some racetronix injectors. they are a sponsor and offer a quality injector. i have their 42lbers which is more than i need but they still work great and my duty cycle stays low. just remember don't put them in until you have a tune for them or any after market injector larger than stock. if you put them in with no tune your car is going to bog and run like ****.

Yes a retune is required. The car wont run right and its best to tune it on the dyno so everything is spot on at WOT and not only at part throttle. I have Ford Racing 30lb. Injectors for my cc503 cam only car but not yet installed. Do I really need them? maybe not but they wont hurt and they will be nice for when I add heads and a new cam soon. Part# for the ones you want are: FMS-M-9593-B302

Was planning to all along until yesterday when I decided to swap heads at the same time. If I go with LE Heads I will have Bret do the cam but I may consider AI Heads too but more than likely it will be a BRE cam.

Don't mess up a good set of AI heads with a BRE cam, if you are going to make the BRE mistake go right ahead and use too.

Why the Bret bashing. Personally only seen good results from him.

I used to think LE was the way to go but you hardly see any track results. Most of the track results from A.I. have put down some great times. I could careless about dyno#s, track results is all I care about. I'm not saying LE isn't good, I just think A.I. is a little better at the moment.

Im back and forth on heads. They both have their highs and lows, but for cams as far as im concerned BRE is the only choice.

Dwayne misinterpreted what I was saying. I meant I was most likely going with a BRE cam because I was leaning towards LE Heads but however Im getting Ai Heads and Cam.
