Oil Pressure issue
Oil Pressure issue I just recently got my car back after some modding had been done. The first day I drove around the oil pressure seemed fine. Yesterday however my oil pressure gauged showed unusually low readings while being in neutral at stop signs etc. I freaked out and pulled over immediately to check my oil. I didnt find any signs of any leaking oil, and the dipstick was dead on. I changed my oil filter thinking the previous Fram Filter may have collapsed. After the filter change it is still showing some of the same characteristics. I have since drained my oil and checked for any filings and found nothing. Any ideas what might be causing this problem?
Figured I'd give you guys a little update, I refilled the car with Castrol Syntec 5w 30. Everything was fine until I got out about 20 miles out of town on the 4 lanes. I noticed the lt1 seemed a little doggy, so I shifted down to 5th just to make sure. I couldnt get past 2500 rpms in..so I shut it off and pulled over immediately. The pressure is just way to low, the check gauge light comes on at an idle and sometimes kills the motor. Its currently getting checked out at a mechanics. It still sucks non the less. All the mods in my signatuture were recently installed excluding the LM exhaust and K&N filter prior to this incident.

Good possibility..it happens like that man..
It's got the symptoms of it..expecially with it dropping pressure and it stalling on it's own, and the lack of power..

Verdad Gallardo It sounds like a good possibility like you said, Im pretty sure the engine is fine, it was just acting too funny for me to keep driving. We'll find out soon and hopefully I'm back on the road eating some rice. On a lighter note those mods made a hell of a difference. Its just too bad something had to break. Just one of those days where you dont even feel like getting out of bed. But thanks for the input guys.
