As is Walbro makes pretty much all the intank "performance" pumps for all the other brands. I know at least one b-body guy managed to put two 255 pumps in the stock tank to feed a mild 355+juice. If that interests you I can get you more info.

your not running the spray and motor on it are you? a single walbro is good to about 625 or so rwhp...put a kb BAP on it and you can prolly squeeze 725-750 from it...if you need more put 2 walbros in it...if your runnning yur nitrous add a few degrees of timing back into the motor put a stand alone up front or back and put 116 in it or higher

i have a separate fuel system for the n2o.

i have heard of the pump maxing out around 550 rwhp, just what i heard.

with 2 walbro's would i have to run a NEW feed line? i am still running the stock steel line, up until where the factory plastic lines used to connect, from there it is -6 line to the motor.

what is kb BAP? is that a boost a pump? thanks?

Walbro also made a 340 in tank pump.

Heres a write up on the dual pump, it's a 98 car with a metal tank should be the same as our cars.

I bought the Racetronix lt1 kit from Thunder. It came with the walbro 340 pump and a boost-A- Harness. Very nice kit, came with detailed colored instructions, gm connectors , fit right in the stock bucket. A lot of people have problems with the feed hose popping off the pump in the tank. The Racetronix pump came with a nice factory style crimp connector on the feed hose.

Not sure on the GPM difference btwn the 255 and the 340, i know it looked bigger.

kb boost a pump yes...personally thats what i would do...before 2 walbros...your kit should have the 340 pump in it...mine came with it about 1.5 years ago...if not i wouldent worry too much i think youll be fine just keep a good clean fuel filter in it and youll be fine to 625...then start to watch it closer

Before Even going 2 Walbro 255s. You guys should be looking into the MKIV Supra Fuel Pump. Flows a lot more than a Walbro, Quieter, and more reliable. Made by denso.

does racetronix actually modify the pump? reason i say that is I know for a fact Walbro doesn't make a 340 lph pump for the f body...period! my distributor clarified that for me yesterday when i inquired about it.

he noted he had heard of folks modifying the pumps to flow more lph. that is why i wondered about the options. i believe my pump is wired to the battery, that is something that abortion racing engines did to the car when they first had it....i believe. the reason i say that is i have a fused 8 ga. wire off of the battery which runs to the pump. might actually be something they did right!!! one of a few things.

there really isn't much more to modify the car, but an upgraded fuel system is on next winter's list of mods. that includes an aluminum tank, with an A2000 inside of it, really big a$$ injectors, and have the xfi control the fuel for the fogger through the injectors. will clean up more of what is on the car under the hood.

Taner I had two 255's y-ed together in the tank back in 2004. Worked well. I now have the A1000 with -10 feed and -6 return with sumped stock tank.

ditto, our 1000 WHP supra has gone through 12 pumps, he changes them every season in his triple walboro pump setup. he finally got fed up and teamed up with another company to produce a triple denso pump hanger and has been running it flawlessly. Youll find the walboros are pretty inconsistent and tend to "crap out"

for the money and piece of mind, i rather spend an extra 130$ for a denso than having to replace and possibly damage my motor due to lean conditions

Yep, you brought back this thread. You can actually pic up a supra pump usually cheap if you know someone getting rid of it. But you can't beat the performance and reliability of this 290 LPH pump.
