Red face took mine to the track today..

took mine to the track today, im not really the dissapointed in it, but it was slow

all being 8.8's basically

I ran a:
8.884 et
82.02 mph
.167 r/t
2.221 60ft
5.882 330ft

I was spinning through all of 1st and 2nd, some passes half of third, others just barking third.

also forgot to mention it was an unprepped track, it was a street racing day so no track prep..

So i decided to just ease into the throttle which didnt spin just barked 2nd and third and still only ran a 8.894. Even tho i was spinning i still had 4 passes that were the same et of 8.864.

Im still running on cheap street tires and a stock intake/paper air filter, how bad are those hurting my e/ts do you guys think??

It's not the filter hurting the e.t. No tire and suspension is what's killin' ya. The stock filterbox needs replacement for sure but tires/suspension will get your car some nice #'s. My MASSIVELY lesser powered car runs 8.4 @ 84mph.

A better reaction time and a short time in the 1.7's should get you moving really good. My LT1 with exhuast, CAI and RR's ran 8.7's with a 1.8 short time.

the fact that you don't have drag radials is killing you. also are you running a datalogger? i would definitely get one if i were you to make sure that you aren't getting any knock.

Reaction time doesn't have anything to do with the Et. 1.7 60 ft would really help you out

Yeah I'd say get some DR's and some suspension goodies and you'll pick up some time for sure.
I have a 94 formula with full exhaust, 3.42's and CAI, along with BMR LCA's PHB and STB, and Nitto's and I run a 8.8 with a 2.0 60' time. I spin through 1st and chirp hard in 2nd. Good Luck with your et's.
