LT1 Alternator/PS kit
#122
Well I had to take pictures again (these are not as good), but they show what is needed. I will say I am taking a few things to the powdercoater tomarrow and hopfully by the end of the week I will have the motor fully assembled with some high quality day time pics (instead of at night with my shop lights)
This is what I have to say about the kit. The polish parts are awesome, you can see your reflection so well you could comb your hair, lol. The entire kit comes with full detailed instructions with individual bags and pictures showing where exactly everything goes, so in a sense its idiot proof. I didn't have to modify anything as everything bolted right up. This is by far the best kit around and I have seen several pieces over the years and not one comes close to matching this one.
For you drag racing guys, this kit is light, lighter than the factory aluminum piece that comes on the cars from the factory, plus its much better looking .
The alternator hangs about as low as the LS1 f-body, maybe even higher, but not lower. So don't wory about water damage or anything. The power steering pulley setup is close to the waterpump (I'll get a pic) but there is definatly enough room not to have to modify anything, in fact even after powdercoating it will be fine. The tensioner setup (by the valvecover) is really easy to use, stick a 3/8 socket inside it and turn to loosen or apply tension.
Well here are the pics (Larry I plan on getting some really good pics when the motor is completely finished so stay tuned).
Thanks again Speed Inc for making the kit

Thanks Paul, I figure the only way stuff will get done is to do it. Shannon helped me out today on the build so that helped.
Next thing is to powerwash and to pull the dash, not looking for to it, lol.
