94 LT1 will not go above 3k or so.

wouldnt the fuel pump going out, just cause a lean, or bog condition, i mean this is like a stop sign at 3k rpm.
theres no fuel after that, until you restart the car over again. then the fuel is fine. There is no hesitation whats so ever before 3k rpm. it just hits a wall and dies.
fuel filter is new.
