you put a vacuum cap on the intake hole, you can get those at any auto parts store.

you just take off the pump and all the rubber hoses, you can get rid of the solenoid and the bracket it goes on, also you need to remove the metal pipe that goes around and under the engine and block off the connections to the manifolds.

there's no disadvantage unless you need it for emissions for whatever reason (cat think of why even for that, as long as you test it warm).

the only thing it does is heat up your cat quicker.

well i on the pump when i went to take it off is a plug coming for the wire harness and it plugs into another plut thats bolted to the pump and there is a red and black wire going into the pump and the other part of the plug is going to the silenoid!! so i just cut the wires going into the pump and removed the pump and left both the plugs plugged into each other and capped the silenoid!!! is that ok or do i need to remove the silenoid?

I thought that you could even pass emissions with out the air pump.(unless they look for your air pump) All it does it heat the cats up faster, so you'll pollute less faster than traditionally waiting for the converters to heat up. When you test smog your car is already warmed up ready to go.

dunno I've never heard that. I don't have any real way to say for sure though.

I would doubt that though considering that the air pump only runs for like 2 min at startup.

well i will have to get pics posted, but the wire come from the car and go to a plug and plugs into another plug that is mounted on the air pump, this plug actually goes to the selinoid, but on one of those plugs has a black and red wire coming off one of the plugs probably like 1/2 and goes into the air pump, so i just cut the wires and removed the air pump and left the plugs plugged together...do i need to to remove the selinoid and the wires that goes to the air pump to the silenoid?
