Default Anyone drop the front of there LT1 with springs? pics?

I feel as though the back of my LT1 Formula looks fine, but the front seems to sit up too high for my taste and makes the appearance not as impressive. Has anyone dropped just the FRONT of their LT1? And how much? I was thinking somewhere along the lines of 1 - 1.5 inch drop? pics would be great also if anyone has any! Thanks -Matt

I would imagine it to be way too raked unless you want an extreme rake in which it would definetly do for ya. I have my car lowered all around but sometimes wouldnt mind the rear even being a tad tad lower yet.

yours sits perfect...not low enough to rip off the exhaust on every curb, but not high enough to have fender gap. nice car man

Yes your car looks very nice... what kind of springs/drop do you have? And what size tires/rims?

Thanks guys, I have Sam Strano Springs on the stock shocks. They advertise a 1.25" lowering and I would say thats pretty accurate and just right IMO with a nice raked look. I haven't yet scraped on anything even some speed bumps at school to my suprise. The rims are the stock WS6 17x9's with 275 tires.

I'm loving the look of that red one with just the front dropped. How does it ride like that?

I dropped my car 1.5" all around, and riding on 18"'s I'd still like to see my rear end down another 1/2" or so. Or maybe go to 19's in the rear.

Either way, here's a pic of the intrax springs I used compared to stock. The stock spring actually (out of the car) looks like it would ride lower than the purple Intrax spring, but once installed, the engineering of the spring comes into play, and the car sits lower, with a firmer ride.

I love the handling, but my air dam takes a BEATING!!!

I needed the height for these...

Have since gone to adjustable shocks all the way around and have raised the front slighlty

Hey Ray, are you still running the rubber donuts or did you put garden hose on the rear spring?

Originally I dropped the rear of my 94Z by removing the rubber isolator and putting a section of garden hose around the top coil of the spring. Then I got an Eibach pro kit and dropped both front and rear, and put the rubber isolator back on the rear.

I think it sits just right.

At that time I still had the stock isolator....and yes yours sits about perfect for the tire combo.
