Default lt1 mid lengths

I need some options for mid length headers with dual cats and a y pipe. Its a 96 convertible z28 @ 400hp/425 torque ( in that area) I need some headers, I have SFC's and will be doing a UMI road race k-member. The car is currently sitting on SLP Eibach springs so its dropped.I also currently run a Magnaflow catback.... Anone have suggestions, or have a similar setup. I WILL NOT RUN PACESETTERS. bottom line. This is my daily driver and i need good solid stainless headers. thanks ahead of time.

I'm running BBK Mids w/ no cats and custom 3" y-pipe with a flowmaster. Huge difference in sound (obviously). I lost a little low end power but gained even more top end with this set up. This is a bolt on only car.

Stainless will limit your options, coated will open them back up. They don't offer Pacestters in stainless so no worries. Just installed BBK's last week, the supplied Y pipe fits nicely in the stock location.

I hear MAC mids have better spark plug access, don't know about stainless though.

Im going to go mac mids.They make nice power.How long did it take you guys to install them?

I have the arizona speed and marine mids. I beleive those along with the rk sports are the only mids with 1 3/4 primaries. when going with a mid make sure you find them with 1 3/4 primaries since that is what most long tubes come with and other mids have a smaller diameter. another difference with those two brand mids is that they come with 2.5 inch collectoes instead of 3. nice fit and finish with my as&m headers though.

I have a chance to get some edelbrock TFS headers really cheap. Is there a big difference in gains between mids and longtubes? I can get LT's for double the cost. All i want is headers to xpipe to dumps. Thanks...Sorry for hijacking....

because he also lives in NJ like me, and inspection is a PITA to deal with sometimes haha. i'm running pacesetter mids with random tech dual-catted y-pipe. everything fits beautifully, all the way down the car but spark plug access is very minimal, along with the header bolts with these headers
EDIT: how do you like your suspension parts NJ96Z28? have you noticed quite a bit of difference in bite?
