9 MPG's on stock engine!
I just got 130 miles to this tank with an all stock motor. I even have 4.10's so that number is over. The highest I have seen since driving this car recently is like close to 200 to a tank. All of this is street driving. I have probally filled it up 10 to 15 times in the last couple months with all the driving I do. Some specs on the car:
-Stock alum heads w/b body short block and cam.
-Stock 95 F body tune (from 95 probally)
-160 t stat
-It never gets past 170 in traffic
-6 speed car with only bolt ons.
Thanks, Brad

Well I most likely would think:
1. Your keeping the pedal to the metal
2. You got one hell of a fuel leak going
3. Someone is jacking your gas at night
4. Something is way, way wrong with the pcm and it's in serious need of a tune.
5. Your running something higher number than a 4.10 gear on a little tire.
or
6. All the above.
Good Luck fixing the problem!

Yeah it does. My caprice 9C1 got much better MPG's and it was auto and a boat. In the past with this car and the stock cam and short block the best it got was like 20 mpg's on the high way and 15ish around town. Even with 2 diferent ecm's.
Forgot to mention that I did install new springs and rockers. Also deleted the EGR and AIR system.

I havent purchased a tune yet because I am trying to decide if I want to buy LT1Edit or not. Otherwise that would of been my starting point just kinda worried that if its something on the car getting the a/f all outta wack then it would probally do it with the newly tuned ecm. The area around the tips is pretty dark and the car definatly smells like fuel when your behind it.

You need to replace your thermostat with the 180 one. If your on a stock tune the 160 does nothing for you except waste your gas because the vehicle isn't up to operating temperature.

I have new plugs and wires. The car also has a maf sensor from another f body, as mine was stolen awhile back. I do have a SES light on but I thought it was probally from maybe the EGR and AIR not being plugged in. Could AutoZone tell me anything?

Are you throwing any codes? Check the fuel injectors, clean'em up and all that jazz. Mine starting missing and getting crap for gas, and I found out I had a bad injector, but I threw a code. Just something to check and a good starting point.
