355 is slowww
i had the motor in my 95 t/a that was totalled...sold the eng/trans to a friend of mine who swapped it into another 95.
it is a 350 lt1 bored .030,(355ci). stock crank, and i forget the brand of the pistons. heads are ported, polished and milled.
it has a cc503 cam (224/230), comp 918 springs,
bbk 58mm tb, 42lb injectors(i told him not to get that big.),
edelbrock intake manifold.
pacesetter LT's, no cats, hooker muffler.
spec stg 3 clutch, balanced aluminum flywheel, stock 3.42's
has new msd opti, cap + rotor, msd coil, new plugs + wires(week ago)
Everything on the motor is pretty much brand new. the motor itself had 5k on it when i sold it to him, and he just got it running/tuned, so it probably has 6k miles on it at the MOST.
New fuel pump + filter
It was dynotuned, but because of a problem with it hesitating @ around 4200+rpm's they couldn't finish the tuning. The car runs great up until 4200 rpms, even at WOT. we are trying to figure out what the hesitation problem is. When he explained it to me i was thinking ignition problem, but the whole ignition system is new except for the ignition control module(and my understanding of those is that either they work, or the car doesnt run..correct me if i'm wrong). Now im thinking it could be a fuel problem, but everything in that department is new too!!
anyone have any ideas? sorry for writing a book but i wanted to make sure all the needed info was there. Thanks,
James
Do you have a stock MAF to try? If you can get a datalogger I would check the MAF, trim values and detonation hits.
