From what I've heard a good port job on the stock LT1 or LT4 manifold is good up to 5-600HP. These intakes flow very good stock, but that's just my input.

i'm going to have to say single plane. i'm no expert but it seems to be a popular choice since sheetmetal intakes cost an arm and a leg. you'll see guys run an edelbrock vic jr with and intake elbows 90 degree elbow and a ls1 style tb.

If I did a turbo camaro (we're talking large single turbo like 88mm and up) I would probably convert a super victor.... more plenum volume and a taller profile.....

You could do the Victor E as well like most of us have done already.... It's a scrunched down version of a Victor Jr setup for EFI....

You'd have to go with a sheetmetal or a converted one. The factory one even ported would be a bottle neck

When my car was supercharged I ran GM LT4 heads and intake went 8.92 best mph was 159. I dont think that you will need much more depending on your goals. My new setup with twin 74mm turbo's I am using a converted Super Victor but I have pretty lofty goals this time around.

You, Madman and George Baxter, werent all of y'all running LT4 Intakes? Yours was the only to go an 8, but the other two were with in reason.

If you are going to force n LT1 the stock intake is FINE!

What motor are you putting forced induction on? An LT1 flows FINE to at least 650 RWHP with NO mods other than gasket matching the intake.

A friend and I have made many forced inducion LT1s and shake our heads that people go to old style trash and throw away a perfect setup.

Good luck

If you want ~>750 RWHP then go with AFR 227 LT4 and air gap. I have a hybrid that may go there if I miss my goal et till then I will leave $$ in pocket...

Good luck

i plan on making over 650 at the wheels. probablly around 1100. lots of guys are converted to a edelbrock intake and im curious to see what the advantages over my lt4 intake will be. otherwise i was thinking a sheetmetal intake. money really isnt the issue. i yes i do plan on going to an afr 227 race head.

Even 1100 hp at the Flywhel is ALOT. In an LT1 block that seems too high I would love to hear an LT1 block taking the stress, but I don't think it will hold.

Well I hope the block takes 1100 and the mains stay in place. I am adding a main girdle since we saw cap walk with ~650 RWHP. Like I said I would love to hear you make >725 RWHP since my goal requires ~700 from my twins.

Good luck

I thought of this after an 8.92 in a 3300 car will require 1150 HP. So OBVIOUSLY he made the range you seek so there are setups in an LT1 that will take it.
