I ran around for a while with my stock manifolds and y with the cat-back hacked off. It was loud, but not as loud as longtubes and a cutout. IMO it sounded pretty good, but I like the tone of my current setup better.

I have AS&M headers to a single 3" staight pipe over the axle into a Borla Y-pipe, then 2 - 3" pipes out to the stock location with 4" Hedman Hedder tips. Sounds real mean and loud! Alot quiter inside the cab than a cutout but just as loud as outside, and it sounds way better!

Yeah I remember, what's up man, sorry I forgot your name. How is Hawaii treating you? I see you picked up an LS1 car too, nice. I ended up getting Magnaflow for my car too, but instead of a catback I put a single outlet muffler with a turn down on the stock I pipe. It sounds great and has a nice sleeper look, plus it picked up a little bit of power. Very happy with it.
