awsome cc503 dyno today
#82
For those either backing or bagging on this guy's thread....Anyone remember back to 1993 when every car mag out there was taunting the LT1 as one of the most potent power plants ever in mass production? And it wasn't even modded fully yet. As a fellow owner of an LT1 AND an LS1 I can say that the difference in how high the attainable horsepower ceiling is, is vast. Nevertheless, the LT1 mentioned could easily have these numbers. Hands Down.

not flaming, just saying it how i am understanding it.
but correct me if im wrong please, arent the two types of dyno's you used supposed to have slightly (maybe a little more than slightly) different readings?
the only experience i have to compare that to is from a co worker of mines, regardless of what kind of car or the application, he had a dyno done on a mustang dyno first, then he had it done on a dyno jet, the dyno jet is about 20hp more.
i was always told a mustang dyno is supposed to be more accurate as to how the car will perform on the streets, where as the dynojet is for dyno queens and is more of a 'theoretical' peak number.
now obviously they are calculated, and maybe the second dyno he had was off but almost all car enthuisiasts ive spoken with on the subject say that about 90% of the time dynojets are about 5-10% higher numbers depending obviously on calibration.
