As for catback, once again Hooker CB and SLP Loudmouths are what I've heard the best about, but they're all pretty much the same. I've got a Borla, but it was put on by the previous owner. If it was me, I wouldn't have thrown the money away, and there would be a Hooker catback on my car right now.
Good luck!

Tubes. Im happy with my MAC headers but wish I had
purchased them coated. Whatever you decide on just
make sure they are coated. BTW, I also like the Hooker catback, but the exhaust tips will rust. It
gave the car a deep rumble and picked up a few hp

I was concerned about emissions, so I have the SLP single cat headers. I believe the SLP dual cat headers (for '96-97) aren't as good tho, since they're very much a shorty. The SLP single cats are a mid length header.
Sounds like you're not concerned about emissions. You have only one choice then. HOOKERS!
If built properly, there is no concern about a Y-pipe hanging too low. I wouldn't get Hooker's Y, I'd have one custom made using a Flowmaster collector. My '98 has a Flowmaster collector - dual 3" pipes going to a single 3 1/2", to a single 3 1/2" cutout just before the axle, and then it necks down to the 3" pipe to go over the axle. Works great. As for exhausts, I like the SLP two on the left. Flows good, sounds good, stainless steel so it won't rust. Looks funny on T/A's, but on Z's it looks good.

They were put on by the previous owner, and I just don't have the $$$ to make the switch to Hooker LTs right now. Eventually, they'll be on there, though.
If you have the cash go with the Lemmons. You will understand when you get them.
