The cam wouldn't be enough for it really and that's assuming your talking about a 383. You really should look for something with above or around a 230 duration and atleast .540 lift on 1.6rr...

Just some advice I suggest.

You would also want better flowing heads unless you wanted to have the lt4 heads worked.

Really bad idea. The LT4 stuff is not worthwhile.

we put it on a buddy's car, that thing ran great with a stock stall and 2.73 gears. it had torque every where, if you have yourself a GREAT deal on the parts/install I would do it again. Art

Assuming a 383 that would be a very very mild setup and IMO not worth doing. I would go with a cam with atleast 230 duration on the intake but thats just me and of course do some port work to the heads.

Well with the Procharger you don't even need the cam or port work. The Prochargers gonna get all the air you need to go skating down the street in that car.

I see varying claims for HP per pound of boost. Some as low as 8. Others as high as 25. Mine is supposed to be about 600rwhp at 12 to 14psi. It's just a 355. That's theory though. I've got to get the spark issues taken care of (long, long @ss story). Whats this in your sig about an LS1 computer and harness swap? Is that being done successfully?! Tell me about it if it is.

yeah, akron hp, in akron ohio. i was talkin to them and mentioned i was gonna get my comp reprogrammed in texas through madz28.com to get rid of the rear 2 o2 sensors and a mild tune and the guy came back and told me about this swap they supposedly do, which will get rid of the opticrap system and give a full ls1 harness and comp swap. quoted me about 1200 for the swap labor and dyno tunin. i need to talk to them more about it when i go do the first couple dyno pulls in this car. i will let you know more when i find out, or give results if i get it done
