But that would probably be a stock or nearly stock LS1. Not a nicely modded, stroked one. Kinda apples to oranges IMO.

It is, but most people aren't going to pay a lot more than that, even with mods, if they can get an LS1. That is just what I've seen.

What a deal! Around here its very hard to find an M6 that hasn't been run into the ground for any less than 7-8k. Comparatively, mine was a deal at $7750 for the shape its in.

I walked on LS1s all the time....At the track when an LS1 pulls up next to a LT1 they figure they have a win in their back pocket. I shocked many LS1 drivers. I know I did not have the fastest LT1, but I surprised many LS1 drivers.

I had the car for sale for over six months and all I ever got was low-ball offers. Most people told me my car was only worth about 5K. I was pretty happy with 7k, maybe I let it got too cheap. With gas over $4 a gallon now, I bet I'd get some real low offers if I still had it. I know the guy in WV who bought the car is REALLY happy....he got one hell of a car.

I think $8,500 would be a fair price.

that would be worth it if you are doing the work yourself.

this is why people dont build cars and then sell them, cuz nobody wants to buy all your aftermarket stuff. its part of the game.
