LT1 cluster question.

if you have a 96 car, is the only year cluster you can replace from 96.
does the OBD2 really have anything to do with the cluster since they are the same from 93-96?

i need a 96 firebird/ Trans am cluster, and it seem its hard to find that specific year.

i need to know if any year fill fit, and wether the OBD1 cluster has any difference from the 2.

any 94-96 cluster will work. 93 and 97 are different.

is there any real difference as far as plug and play value with the V6 cluster?
is it just the RPM difference and speed?

Yea, the V6 cluster only goes up to 120, while most of the V8 ones go up to 150.

The tach in a V6 cluster uses a different signal than the V8 ones. If you use a V6 cluster the tach is going to read a fair amount higher than what the engine is really turning.
