Possible mpg decrease Currently I have 2.73 gears in the Camaro, and I am wanting to install 3.73 gears. My question is how much mpg would I loose on the HWY. I currently drive the car on the HWY almost everytime I drive it. I know the RPM's will be higher than in city driving.
well i have 3.42 in my A4 and the rpms are close to 2500 at 70 so 3.73 would be alittle worse..it just depends on how long you drive on the hwy..if its for along distance i dont kno if i would put 3.73 in...i drove my car to the beach right after i put the 3.42 in and i was getting 21mpg..but i dont kno exactly how many mpg you will lose but it will go down alittle
