Well I have personally had two different 3" TD configurations on my old 01 SS, so I know all about the ground clearance...and the fact that I already have 3" mufflers sitting in my garage will lean me to a 3" set-up.. Just wanted to make sure that the LT1 farm was feeling roughly the same overall about true duals...and didnt have anything out of the norm as far as cons go. Thanks for the input!

I'm taking my car to the shop this week, going to be running 2.5" true duals with x-pipe run ove the axle, with 2 18" Sweet Thunder chambered mufflers
I'll post some vids when it's done

I went straight for long tubes, 2.5" x-pipe with flowmaster 10 series (one chambers) under the axle to the rear bumper. I absolutely love the sound and it is quiet inside, and damn loud outside. I get nothing but complements on it. It cost me a total of ~$450. And the lowest point in the exhaust is my drivers side header...
PICS OR BAN!!!
yeah, I'm definitely going w/ some powersticks from Classic Chambered Exhaust. 2.5" under or over, haven't made up my mind and 3" cats. 3" x-pipe that I bought w/ my headers for cheap.

The only thing I don't like about the bullet type mufflers is the truckish sound when crusing down the highway in 6th gear. My brother said my car sounded like a 78 dodge ramcharger with the exhaust falling off of it haha. I can't wait to do the CME with 50 series delta flows, should be nice and calm when cruising but with an agressive WOT tone. Either that or I'll go with some spintechs they sound pretty good, but too loud IMHO
