Default Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an 1996 Camaro Z28 with an LT1 396 stroker in it. Just put it in an it ran fine for about two days. Now it seem like it is flooding out & missing. I sent my computer off to PCM and everthing matches. Just trying to see if any bodies else has ran into this problem.

Your car is running pig rich, thats why its "flooding".

Whats your fuel psi? What spark plugs are you using? Whats your compression (Static)?

Tony.

first of all.. bosch plat's aren't that great... i'd go w/ a TR55 or 6..if your set on platinum look at a AC plug.. check your Fuel Pres., make sure your plug wires are good and not burnt, firing order, etc.. is have you tried unplugging the maf? sure you don't have any intake manifold leaks' etc?

Well since you dont know your PSI id start there, your car could be eating 55psi and be retarted rich.

And snag a set of Tr6's up, since your a big above compression Id start with a colder plug and work up in the heat range from there.

I think you should go turn some wrenches on a few obvious things before you start getting technical with it.

^^^ Exactly, stop using those Plat 4's unless your looking for trouble. It may make give more points of contact but it also redues the strength of said spark in doing so.

fuel pressure is reading 48.5, and now the low trac light is coming on causing it to shift quicker, and its not even a traction control on the car. or at lease there is not a button to turn it off.

The computer does not lose the tune, if it did the car would not run atall. It is flash memory like a jump drive or camera memory, it wont justmagically lose information any more than those other things will.

The Boschs are garbage, first thing, get rid of them.

If you have a hard time finding the NGKs local try autolite 104

Your PSI is 5.5+ over stock, so your a bit rich just reading of the regulator. Set the pressure at 43 OFF vacuum and go from there.
