I can tell you who NOT to use in Flint: anything with the "Hardcore Motorsports / Racing" name - both those shop suk! (Ask my step father and his best friend!)

Oh, the shop on Gulley in Dearborn Heights (I can't recall the name - I pushed it out of my brain!) suk too - yeah, ask me how I know!

Good luck!

If you find a place post a PH # please!

I guess it's okay to post this. Here's a link to a shop in Grand Rapids. After a couple of shops screwed up my car, including the dealership on Telegraph and I-96 in Southfield, I finally found this place:

http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8...29983924446837

They were the only place that remotely knew about LT1's and the owner used to work at Berger Chevrolet when they REALLY dealt with performance cars. So far they fixed my blown head gasket ($1500), found and fixed the front timing cover leak ($200) that another shop messed up when they "fixed" my timing chain, and diagnosed a few other minor issues. Here's a few shots from their shop:

I know it ain't the fanciest looking place, but the guys there know their stuff. Most of all, they're honest and won't try to screw you, plus they seem to really love cars, instead of it just being a job. One car not in the photos is a stroked LT1 one of the guy's at the shop drives and runs at a local track. They've also worked on a few "Donks" that were as much go as show. If you give them a call, tell them the guy in the silver Z28 sent ya.

I'm looking too. I have plans for my forged 355/383 but, I just don't know who to use, as well as who have tune it. It's quite frustating to have the money but, not to have a well known/honest/quality shop.
