puttin a ss3600 in a obd1 car

im puttin a stall in my 94 z28 which is obd1 and ive heard of issues and things with goin with a big stall in older cars, ive heard i need to get my computer retuned and things just wondering if i need to do anything specail to get my car runnin right with a big stall

You will probaly get stall wall but that is nothing a tune can't fix for you.

It's a hit or miss on most obd1 LT1's(stallwall). I've had no issues on mine running a Vig 3600+ stall. And as mentioned, it can be fix via tune, ie. Madz28 has a fix for that.

Doesnt seem like an issue any more with most tunners being able to take care of it easily. I never had the issue in my 93, good old 4L60, no E

Yep, gotta love obd1. I had an issue with my Midwest 3200, and my Fuddle 3800..

Yep, Ion went over my tune when the SS3600 was installed last year. No stall wall here.

Wont the car misshift or hit the rev limiter if you hit stall wall issue? There is a vid I saw last year that had a car going down the track with that issue...search around.

Ive never had the prob, Moe knows his $hit.

I think it goes from 1st to 3rd. Limp mode I believe they call it. Shut the car off and restart it and it should be fine for normal driving. Don't quote me on this stuff though.

Yah, the car just goes into limp mode and starts in third. Basically you only have third until you shut the car off and start it again. If it happens don't forget to open the door because if you just turn the key off and on it won't work. That stupid 15 min power until the door opens thing.

Yep just had it happen to me for the first lastnight, I thought I lost the tranny. It was my first time to the track since the 3800 stall.

so all it would do is start out in 3rd gear? alright i guess its a hit or miss thing ill see if my car has a problem with it and if so the computer is goin back to madtuner to get taken care of
