I have the GM847, but I also have a 3600 stall. That helps a lot with the little lack of lowend power, because it's never really there!

BUT, locked up on the highway cruising at 1400-1800 rpms with a 3.42 gear, it seems to accelerate just fine!

I think people exaggerate what it's like to drive a car with an 847/CC306/etc. In my 6-speed car I can cruise along at 65mph in 6th at ~1800rpms, it runs smooth and I can still accelerate with ease without downshifting. Some people make it sound like that car will become a non-streetable pro stock car with one of these cams.

horribly ignition miss, replaced coil and opti since then and it's cleared right up, i want to re-tune it and throw it on the dyno again

i had an opti break up like that on my stock motor on the dyno, funny thing is the car wasn't jumping or bucking.

zlover129 why haven't we raced yet?

haha we should, i hate going to the drag strip though, my car doesn't come out of the hole for **** though, and the funny thing is i'll still break something too. You ought to come out tomorrow night to uncc, show up some imports..now that is fun

with stock heads I've seen lt4 hotcam guys beat up on stock headed 847s

i beat an auto ls2 vette completly stock on my lt1 z28 with a cc503,1.6rr,m6,LTs,ported intake,tune,full bolt ons and never removed stock heads and stock 3;42 gears as well

i got the 847 cam, 3200 stall and 4.11 gears and shift it at 6600. My car screams and beat my buddys dyno tuned/camed ls1. So to each there own. Well see how it does on the track when i hit the bitch with a 150 outta the hole through the traps. Well see how bad that cam is, lol.

Just holding it down for us 847 cam owners....
