The cc306 and GM847 will make more peak power because their durations are much larger than the cc503. The cc503 will make more power in the lower rpm's than both of them. Just because the cc306 and GM847 make more power doesn't mean that their better for your setup or will make the car faster. Same goes for the cc503 if you got a motor capable of turning real high rpms safely than it could be holding you back. All depends on your bottom end setup, where you want to spin the motor to, emissions?, and drivability etc. which all need to be answered to get a real recommendation.

Here's a two dyno results overlayed, from the same car - red being stock heads + cam + bolt ons, blue being stock heads + GM 847 + bolt ons. I forgot who's dyno this was now but they posted it over on CZ28.com I think. As you can see the 847 actually made less power than even the STOCK cam under 3000rpm but as soon as it hit 3500 the difference was dramatic. Clearly you need a six speed car or a loose stalled automatic to make a cam like this work, even with stocks heads, as in these dyno results.

the 503 is a great cam if you have setup right!! i made 360rwhp & 402rwtq untuned @ only 5100rpm ran out of injector- i now have injectors just need to get it tune before i can throw them on. and yes i have the 503 w/stock ported heads!!!

never been much of a fan of doing stock head GM847 cam...im making just as much power...probably more with a good bit less duration. The duration is kind of like a band-aid for a poorly matched cam to the stock heads

I personally couldn't care less what hp the cam makes below 3k. Big cams are for higher rpms and hp.
If you are going to spin it the 847 will OWN the others. If you won't, you'll be close and if you keep it under 6200 you'll probably lose.

^^there are people in this world that still race from a dig But yes..usually the higher peaking cam will pull, unless its a Supra in disguise. And i absolutely hate the dam expression about hp sells cars and trq wins races...just not true, just in case you guys were thinking about it

Both of those things will give you a MUCH better launch.
What I'm saying is, you should still win the launch with the 847 as long as you have modded your car "correctly." (gears in a manual, stall in an auto.)

very true, but people don't want to actually face the fact that you have to have supporting mods with camshafts such as gears and stalls so unfortunately many wont do them and then bitch about low power down low. I can only speak as a 6 speed owner with 4.10's, i have a smaller cam with an identical power band to the GM847 with a bit more peak power, especially with a clean ignition system now. I just was never much of a fan of any of the cams mentioned above

Well you can click the link in my signature to see it, and you might see why i think i picked up a decent bit of peak power with my new ignition system by looking at this graph
