^Hands on is the best way to learn for sure! Oh btw you should put 100 bucks in a jar every time you launch that stock 10 with 4.10's. BY the time it breaks you might have enough for a 12 bolt or 9". Put some lca's on to keep wheel hop at bay, this will help by you some more time. I blew the diff out of my 10 bolt with just stock 3.42's. This was on the street with nittos launching at 3800rpm. I got lucky and did not hurt the ring and pinion, so I put an auburn in it and it has been good so far. Good Luck!

And FWIW I run 4.10s (in a 12 bolt) and Im an A4...I do run a 28" tall tire though...I think that the 28" tire/4.10 combo is the ultimate for N/A A4s...

basically the stock ported heads(including valve job w/ manley 2.02-1.60 valves) and the stock intake were fully ported by Al @ Lingenfelter, not the whole motor was done by them. The bottom end is a golen competition 383 forged shortblock, w/ comp custom grind cam.

I hope you're kidding...We can line up my lamo combo anytime...hahahaha...
Its all about getting the right combo of low 60' coupled with rpms needed to get the best mph on the other end...and still maintaining great street manners...I think I've got that with my set up...Everyones combo is a bit different...

If your a M6 and worried about breaking, slip the clutch when you launch and you can also launch using your ebrake.
I cant explain it good, because its secound nature to me but there should be some writes on doing it like that. In the drag racing section of ls1tech, lots of good info in there.
